The “San Leto Etichetta Blu” from the Ricci winery is made from Timorasso grapes exclusively from Daniele’s old, estate-owned vineyards, his crus!
After 3 days of maceration on the skins, it rests for 12 months in steel vats and then rests for at least 24 months in the bottle.
An intense, fleshy, and surprising juice where aromatic herbs give way to smoky touches, creating a full, sophisticated sip of endless pleasure.

Timorasso riserva San Leto 2020 Ricci
The “San Leto Etichetta Blu” is the firstborn of Daniele Ricci, father of the winery that bears his name in Costa Vescovado. Irreverent, stubborn, meticulous, and revolutionary: this pure Timorasso reflects the nature of the winemaker who produced it. Daniele never stops creating, experimenting, and surprising, presenting vintage after vintage, always innovative, radical, and out of control interpretations of this flagship grape of the Colli Tortonesi. San Leto is the name of Daniele's old vineyard, his personal and grand Cru. A borderland territory – geographically Piedmontese, but landscape-wise Ligurian – ambivalent, quiet, far from the spotlight, untouched: this is where the Ricci winery is located. The soils rich in Tortonian marls could make the Langhe producers envious, giving the wines natural finesse and an interesting aging potential. The pure exceptional nature of the land, combined with Daniele's delicate, courageous, and imaginative touch, which touches without distorting, gives life to this liquid that is shifting, austere yet caressing. The Timorasso “San Leto Etichetta Blu,” after a 3-day maceration on the skins, is vinified in steel tanks, where the must will rest for 12 months on fine lees, without the addition of selected yeasts and without temperature control, allowing Nature and nothing else to oversee the slow passage of time. Once bottled, without clarifications or filtrations, it is “forgotten” for at least two years in the cellar. Why wait so long? Only at tasting will you truly understand how worthwhile it really is.
