Rum Relicario Supremo 15 Anni

Even today, the elders of the Caribbean island Hispaniola tell the beautiful story of the distant afternoons spent by the sea and how, to the rhythm of the waves, they shared the story of one of the finest rums they had ever tasted, with strangers and travelers. The legend tells that, in the mid-19th century, a Spanish merchant descended from an old ship in San Pedro Macorís, in a place that was then known as the jewel of the Caribbean. This solitary figure, who would later be known by all as Captain Bennaser, soon enchanted all those he met during those harsh years of deprivation and slavery. Blessed and with gentle, warm manners, he quickly became a beloved travel companion in convivial evenings among friends. It was during one of these great nights that he met an old man who was an expert rum distiller. The man let him try a marvelous nectar, which captured and fascinated his extremely discerning palate. Captain Bennaser did not hesitate to ask the generous distiller if he could keep such a precious gem to enjoy during long voyages. The captain knew he had in his hands the secret of an authentic Dominican rum and he carefully kept it in an ancient and mysterious reliquary. Some time later, the old merchant suddenly disappeared, just as he had arrived, taking with him the precious and secret treasure he had discovered. Returning home, the old merchant died a satisfied man. The two bottles were passed down from generation to generation before we could discover the secret of these precious relics. The production of Ron Relicario begins with a strict selection of waters rich in sucrose, sourced from sugar mills where cane sugar is produced, followed by a careful distillation and subsequent aging in American oak barrels, previously used for aging Bourbon Whisky from the Kentucky region, which give the product a wonderfully original aromatic complexity.

Color

Dark amber color and effervescent, pure and transparent, showing its mahogany hues in the glass. As it moves from the bottle to the glass, it reveals all the density that characterizes it.

Taste

Refined, elegant, balsamic, characterized by a slightly perceptible sweetness, made up of a combination of oak wood flavors, with tones of dried fruit and sweet grapes with smoky notes.

Aroma

Unique aroma, smooth and balanced, with a complex bouquet of primary and secondary aromas. The primary aromas remind us of vanilla, coconut, dried grapes, and prunes, while the secondary aromas remind us of cut oak wood, dried fruit, walnuts, and almonds.
