Ruchè Vigna del Parroco DOCG 2022 Ferraris

The wine takes its name from the small vineyard near the Church of Castagnole Monferrato, planted by Don Giacomo Cauda in 1964, the parish priest of the village, considered the father of Ruchè. He was the first to believe in its potential and to vinify it in purity. The grapes used for this wine come from the very first vineyard ever planted entirely with Ruchè, which is also the oldest existing vineyard at the moment. It is therefore the only CRU in the DOCG Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato denomination. In 2016, Luca Ferraris was chosen to take on the legacy of this important vineyard and thus embarked on a new project: to make the Vigna del Parroco the flagship wine of the company and the ambassador of Ruchè in the world, narrating the invaluable value of this historic and precious vineyard.
