Nebbiolo Langhe Rangone DOC 2022 Ca'Viola

"Rangone" Nebbiolo by Ca' Viola is an elegant, fresh, and smooth-drinking red wine, made with pure Nebbiolo by winemaker Beppe Caviola. Gentle vinification and the exclusive use of large barrels preserve the varietal character of Nebbiolo, showcasing its floral characteristics and fragrant, fruity aromas. This label is highly enjoyable, emphasizing the youthful profile of this great Langhe grape, enhancing its pairing capability with traditional Piedmont cuisine. The "Rangone" Nebbiolo originates from the countryside of Montelupo Albese, a small village in the Langhe region where renowned enologist Beppe Caviola founded his winery in 1991. The vineyards feature classic varieties of the area: Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, and Barbera. The wines are the result of meticulous vineyard management and minimal intervention in the cellar. The Nebbiolo vineyard is situated at around 450 meters above sea level, with soils made up of grey calcareous marl and yellow-reddish sands. Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts and includes a couple of weeks of skin contact with submerged cap maceration. The wine matures for 15-17 months in large oak barrels and is bottled without filtration.
