Nebbiolo Langhe 2021 DOC Pio Cesare

Nebbiolo is a red grape variety native to Piedmont that is difficult to cultivate and requires particular care and attention during its development in order to express its full potential. The Pio Cesare winery, with its extensive experience as a leading player in the Langhe region since the late 19th century, works this grape impeccably, consistently producing high-quality products. This Nebbiolo confirms the rule, showcasing a balanced and harmonious profile, where the tasting experience delivers a smooth yet characterful wine. Pio Cesare produces this Nebbiolo Langhe DOC from grapes grown in their various estate vineyards, located in areas around Diano d'Alba, La Morra, Collaretto, Serralunga d'Alba, and San Rocco Seno d'Elvio. Only the best bunches are selected during the manual harvest, and once in the winery, the grapes ferment in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, slowly macerating for about 20 days. The wine then undergoes aging for two years in both oak barrels and barriques.
