Nebbiolo ESTER CANALE ROSSO”2021 DOC Giovanni Rosso

The Nebbiolo “Ester Canale Rosso” by Giovanni Rosso originates in Piedmont, in the heart of the Langhe region between Serralunga d'Alba, Cerretta, and La Serra—areas renowned for producing wines of indisputable quality. Giovanni Rosso began his winemaking journey around 1980, striving to infuse attention, passion, and expertise into every phase of vine and raw material processing, in order to stand out for the quality of his wines. 10 hectares of vineyards are impeccably managed, particularly with the involvement of his son Davide, who brought a breath of progress to the winery in the early 2000s. The Nebbiolo grapes used in the “Ester Canale Rosso” are cultivated with utmost respect for the natural phases of development, growth, and maturation of both the vines and the raw material; in the vineyards, human intervention is kept to a minimum, avoiding pesticides, herbicides, and weed killers to ensure authenticity in production. The climate is continental, characterized by hot, humid, and dry summers and very cold winters marked by snowfall and frost. The harvest is done manually, and in the winery, alcoholic fermentation occurs with the action of indigenous yeasts in cement for about 15 days. Aging takes place in wood for several months before bottling.
