This selection based on Syrah represents the "different" wine, one conceived with an eye on the international market, even though the production quantity is minimal (in more generous vintages it reaches 2,000 bottles). However, while it stands as an alternative, it does not fall into cunning or sneaky excesses, maintaining a well-defined house style, also evident in the (commendable) choice to use large casks instead of the overused barriques. The color is a beautiful, intense, concentrated ruby; the nose reveals the Syrah’s character with its peppery notes, followed by fleshy, ripe fruit leaning towards jam, primarily blackberry, but also plum and black cherry. It then shifts to more complex spicy aromas, with distinct animal hints, leather, cardamom, and chocolate reminiscences. The palate has a bold, consistent attack, with fine tannins of the right astringency, good acidity, and fruit and spices blending to create evocative, prolonged sensations, wrapped in pleasant sapidity.
