Langhe Barturot DOC 2022 Ca'Viola

The first wine produced by Beppe Caviola in 1991. At the beginning, Beppe immediately focused on this vineyard in Montelupo, from which he was convinced an exceptional wine could emerge. This was the first rental, thanks also to the help of a friend and the advice of a great producer from the Langhe, making Beppe's dreams come true. Barturot is the historic label of the winery. The Dolcetto d'Alba Barturot originates from a small plot of the Montelupo vineyard of Ca' Viola, composed of vine plants that reach 65 years of age, cultivated on a soil of gray silty marls alternating with yellow-reddish sands and sandstones. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are fermented with indigenous yeasts, with 15 days of skin contact maceration. The wine matures for 8-10 months in large barrels. In the glass, it presents a ruby red color with violet reflections. The aromatic profile recalls floral notes of violet and fruity notes of currant and black cherry. On the palate, it has an excellent body and a splendid drinkability that concludes with a long and harmonious fruity finish.
