Gemma di San Leonardo Lagrein Rosè 2023 DOC

The Gemma di San Leonardo was created as a tribute to Gemma de Gresti, the owner of the estate in the early 1900s. A woman of great courage and strong personality, she saved countless lives during the First World War. This wine is elegant, yet assertive, fresh, and full of character. Location: The vineyards that produce Gemma di San Leonardo are located within the ancient walls of the monastery. Soils: Light and sandy. Training System and Planting Density: Simple Trentino pergola: 4,000 vines per hectare. Vineyard Age: From 5 to 20 years. Altitude: 120-150 meters above sea level. Exposure: South-West – North-West. Yield per Hectare: 80-90 quintals for the simple Trentino pergola. Vinification and Aging Gentle pressing with minimal skin contact and fermentation in white for 10 days at a controlled temperature. Aging in stainless steel for 6 months on the lees.
