Chignin “Anne de la Biguerne” 2022 Domain Anne-Sophie e Jean-Francois Quenard

The grape variety is Jacquère, which hides its recent new designation as Chignin. Anne de La Biguerne is a parcel selection, with vines exposed to full south, near the 11th-century monastic tower dedicated to Anthelme of Chignin, Bishop of Belley. The vines are over 70 years old, the grapes are hand-harvested, pressed directly, and finally, the must is clarified at 13° for about 24 hours. The yeasts used are indigenous. Light and fresh, it reveals citrus notes on the nose; the attack and its breadth express tension and a finish that make it an ideal companion for seafood or fish.
