Chardonnay La Valletta 2020 DOCG Dante Rivetti

Valletta, in addition to being the name of this label, is the nickname of the Dante Rivetti family since the mid-1800s. The grapes used are partly overripe on the vine. It ages for 15 months in small wooden barrels. Aromas of Granny Smith apple, citrus, salt, and oriental spices. Agile, full-bodied, very binding, and balanced flavor. Pairs well with seafood dishes, especially those featuring important fish like turbot, bass, and John Dory, cooked in the oven or grilled. However, it also pairs well with some meat dishes, such as roasted guinea fowl or smoked duck breast carpaccio.
