Champagne O ma Vallée Extra Brut Maurice Grumier
Champagne Blanc de Noirs by Maurice Grumier encapsulates the expertise of four generations of winemakers. This Blanc de Noirs is the perfect expression of the family’s terroir, with a blend primarily composed of Pinot Meunier complemented by Pinot Noir, creating a gourmet Champagne characterized by great finesse and tension in its Extra Brut version. Ideal for appetizers, this exquisite Champagne will delight the palates of all your guests. Maurice Grumier Champagne arises from the unwavering passion of a long lineage of winemakers from Venteuil, driven for twelve generations by a boundless love for the vine and wine. Today, Fabien and Hélène continue to build the legacy of the Maison, upholding a know-how deeply rooted in the land. As ardent defenders of their territory, they pay great attention to its infinitely rich soils. The family's character shines through in their exceptional Champagnes, reflecting the strength of character that runs in their veins. It all began with Amand Grumier, the great-grandfather, who was the first to produce his Champagne in 1928. After returning from the war in 1945, Maurice took over the 2-hectare farm, which later became Champagne Maurice Grumier. Just over twenty, Guy took over the farm after the passing of his father Maurice. He planted the first white grape varieties, invested in cutting-edge equipment for the time, equipped the winery, and expanded the vineyard from 2 to 6 hectares, most of which he planted himself. Fabien represents the fourth generation of harvesters. He has been working with barrels for several years and never ceases to experiment and try new things. For him, wood is a living material: the wine lives inside the barrels, breathes, and expresses itself. The wood carries a particular sensation and a very specific aroma.
