Champagne Les Plates Pierre 2015 Extra Brut Maurice Grumier

The Extra Brut Champagne 'Les Plates Pierres' by Maurice Grumier originates from the eponymous vineyard plot cultivated by the Grumier family for many generations. This vineyard lies on a limestone and clay soil and was completely replanted in 1990-91. Grown biodynamically, it brings forth a powerful and intense Champagne, spicy in character, which has become increasingly complex and precise in recent years. This cuvée, made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, has spent 7 years on the lees, and this Blanc de Noirs fully expresses the expertise of four generations of winemakers. With a highly complex profile, it exhibits aromas of yellow fruits and a distinctly chalky minerality. The palate is powerful, well-structured, dense, and has excellently integrated acidity, balanced with energy and aromatic tension. Blend: 65% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir Bottled: April 2016, dégorgement on June 11, 2023 Dosage: 3g/l Production: 7,991 bottles
