Barolo Bussia 2020 DOCG Prunotto

This Barolo “Bussia” represents one of the highest expressions of the entire denomination. It is a bottle that originates from the prestigious vineyards of the Bussia cru, combining a strong, determined body with a range of elegant and harmonious aromas. A more than winning combination, it creates a drinking experience that is always enjoyable and satisfying, destined to evolve over the years. A red wine with significant structure, it requires dishes and recipes that can enhance its intrinsic characteristics: red meat and game will pair perfectly. The Barolo “Bussia” is made from a careful selection of Nebbiolo grapes, the quintessential red grape variety of Piedmont, by the Prunotto winery team. The vineyards are located within the renowned “Bussia” cru in Monforte, at an altitude of about 350 meters above sea level, facing south. The grapes, once harvested, are destemmed and pressed, then fermented with a 10-day maceration at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees, also undergoing malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged first for 24 months in large oak barrels of various capacities, and after bottling, for at least another 12 months in glass.
