Barbera La Bogliona 2012 Scarpa

La Barbera Bogliona is the calling card of the Scarpa winery, renowned internationally for its ability to maintain its characteristics for 10, 20, and even more years. The vineyards are located in the Bogliona area, from which the wine takes its name, where the soil is rich in sand and magnesium, imparting extraordinary elegance to the wine without compromising its structure. Aging Process: Before being bottled, it undergoes an aging process in a custom-designed burgundy bottle for 18 to 36 months in large oak barrels. This results in a wine that is bold, sometimes slightly austere, yet sensual, with a long and soft finish. Production Notes: Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by aging in large oak barrels for 18 to 36 months, and then a bottle refinement for two years.
