Barbera La Bogliona 2010 Scarpa

The Barbera Bogliona is the calling card of the Scarpa winery, known internationally for its ability to maintain its characteristics for 10, 20, and even more years. The vineyards are located in the Bogliona area, from which the wine takes its name, where the soil is rich in sand and magnesium, giving the wine extraordinary elegance without lacking in structure. Before being bottled, it undergoes an aging process that can last from 18 to 36 months in large oak barrels, followed by two years in a customized Burgundy bottle. It is a bold wine, sometimes a bit austere but also sensual, with a long and smooth finish. Production Notes: fermentation in steel.
