Barbera D'Alba Elena DOCG 2021 Roberto Sarotto

Produced from forty-year-old vines, this wine is a tribute to Italian winemaking and to Roberto’s daughter, Elena. It has an intense ruby color with violet reflections. The 14 months of aging in oak barrels add extraordinary complexity to this very smooth wine. The Roberto Sarotto Winery is located in Piedmont, in the heart of the Langhe, in Neviglie near the city of Alba. The winery owns 90 hectares in some of the most prestigious production areas of Piedmont, spread across various regions: Ronconuovo (Neviglie), where the main vinification and bottling cellar is located; Novello, Barolo, Neive, and Mango. In Gavi, there is a separate vinification cellar dedicated to Cortese for the production of Gavi from the town of Gavi. The philosophy of the winery is particularly focused on the needs of the end consumer. The combination of tradition and modern winemaking techniques, along with vineyard care, results in a balanced and enjoyable wine, while respecting environmental sustainability.

Powerful with velvety tannins and a perfect balance between acidity and sweetness, given the wine’s strong structure, culminating in a persistent finish with hints of licorice and anise.

Aroma

Enticing aromas of dark cherries and strawberries, blending perfectly with notes of ripe blackberry, red plum, and vanilla.
