Barbaresco Montersino 2018 DOCG Massimo Penna

A classic Barbaresco from the Montersino subzone. The vineyard is south-facing on the hills of the Municipality of Alba, bordering the Municipality of Treiso, which was once part of the Municipality of Barbaresco. It is fermented without the stems but with a good portion of whole grapes, which give it very fruity notes. As soon as fermentation is finished, it is placed in 2500-liter French oak barrels, always new, for a period of 24 months and then immediately bottled to complete its aging.

All his wines are the result of meticulous attention to detail; the Terroir does the rest. The wines reflect the producer: austere, imposing wines but endowed with great elegance and finesse.
