The taste is austere, incisive in the tannic part, yet always rich, enveloping, with just a hint of wood in the process of integration. It’s a peculiar Barbaresco, with particular immediacy, characterized by a slightly “charming” style that makes it appealing even to novices… if they can manage to find it!

Excellent aging potential CURIOSITY: The name Fletcher doesn’t exactly evoke thoughts of classic-style Barbaresco, nor does it remind anyone of anything remotely Italian. However, if tasted without the label in view, there’s no chance anyone could guess it was made by a young Australian. In fact, it wouldn’t be a stretch to think it was made by a seventy-year-old winemaker in the twilight of their career, with an interpretation learned from decades of noise and experimentation, evolving into beauty, balance, and a sweet, timeless melody.
