Nebbiolo Langhe DOC 2021 Dante Rivetti

The Rivetti family cultivates 55 hectares between Neive, Mango, and Costigliole d’Asti, spanning the Langhe and Monferrato regions. All the Nebbiolo vineyards for Barbaresco, approximately 21 hectares, are located within the Neive municipality, distributed across some of the most prestigious Additional Geographical Mentions (MGA) of the Barbaresco denomination: Bricco di Neive, Bric Micca, and Rivetti, situated along the southern ridge of the Tinella stream. Neive is the productive heart of Barbaresco, one of the most prestigious designations of the Langhe. Here, the vineyards climb hills outlined by magnificent rows that often follow the entire curve of the hills. The meanders of the Tanaro River and the many streams that cut through the area create secluded lateral valleys, often covered with woods and hazelnut groves, with the red-tiled roofs of villages perched on the hilltops, known locally as "bricchi." The area frequently features ravines – the "Rocche" – formed by the erosive effects of water. The Bricco di Neive vineyards – adjacent to the winery – are the oldest plots of the estate, cultivated by hand for more than four generations of the Rivetti family. They were owned by great-grandfather Giuseppe and today represent the pinnacle of the winery’s production, with nearly century-old vines. These vineyards are primarily cultivated with Nebbiolo for Barbaresco, but also with Moscato and Barbera, particularly in the "Boschi" vineyard. Bricco di Neive is notable for its elevation, exceeding 400 meters, and for its reddish soils.
