The Ruchè is the main wine of Crivelli winery. Considered the Prince of Monferrato for its uniqueness, it has origins that are not well defined but are nonetheless tied to this territory, having received the DOCG designation to safeguard its quality. Rediscovered only in the last 30 years, it is not easy to cultivate in the vineyard due to the clusters tending to be very sweet if harvested late, which can lead to diseases or potential pest infestations. In this case, the winery carries out vinification and aging in steel tanks. It is a wine with almost sweet aromas of ripe fruit, but on the palate, it presents itself dry, with low acidity and a slight softness, which, despite its pleasant drinkability, continues to improve and yield satisfying results over time. Enchanting. The Crivelli agricultural company is located in Castagnole Monferrato, a town of 1,000 inhabitants in the lower Monferrato area. This area has become increasingly famous for its gastronomic excellence, but especially for the Ruchè red grape variety, which received the DOCG designation in the 1980s. The winery was officially established in 1986, but had already been vinifying and marketing grapes since the late 1800s. Today, the company has a total of 8 hectares of vineyards, cultivated with the utmost respect for the land, eliminating all chemical products. Despite being a very small reality, the Crivelli winery has managed to make a name for itself worldwide thanks to the quality of its wines such as Ruchè and Grignolino. The wines are technically perfect, perfectly enhancing the organoleptic characteristics of each native Monferrato grape variety. They are pleasant, fresh wines, but never trivial.
