The Barbera d’Asti “Fiulot” is the expression of a territory particularly suited for the cultivation of this traditional Piedmontese red grape variety. Thanks to the efforts of careful and rigorous producers like Prunotto, today Barbera is no longer just the everyday, popular wine of the past, but is capable of giving rise to high-quality expressions that highlight its best varietal qualities. The Barbera “Fiulot” originates in the hilly area of Agliano, between the valleys of Nizza and Tiglione, where the beautiful exposures, a rather warm microclimate, and soils with a composition similar to the Langhe marl allow for the production of a very pleasant, fragrant, rich, and fruity red.<\/p>\n
“Fiulot” is a Barbera that renews the great Piedmontese tradition of this wine, in the pursuit of quality without betraying its distinctive characteristics. After harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery, destemmed, and crushed. Fermentation takes place with maceration on the skins for about 8 days at a maximum temperature of 28\u00b0C.
